For any Motorbike that is registered, the vendor must provide a roadworthy certificate (safety certificates) according to Queensland law. Failure to do so will result in a penalty; that is, a fine.

The vendors may also be fined if they are caught advertising any registered Motorbike for sale without valid safety certificates.

Safety certificates (roadworthy certificate) for private vendors remain valid for a period of two months or 2000km, whichever occurs first.
